The world day of the migrating fishes – new ecological date. On May 21, 2016 1501 organizations held the event devoted to the World Day of the migrating fish worldwide. The holiday begins in New Zealand with the sunrise, and comes to an end on the western coast of North America. The purpose of this holiday — to tell people around the world about importance and value of fresh-water ecosystems, the migrating fresh-water fish and free flowing rivers. This day gives the chance to remind people that the river is not only a source of water for the human. The river network is a house for fish whose existence depends on a condition of the rivers, their hydrological mode.
Earth hour is an international campaign during which WWF urges to turn off the light and electrical household appliances for one hour as a sign of unindifference to the future of the planet. For the same time illumination of the most known buildings and monuments of the world goes off too.

The world day of migratory birds is celebrated every second Saturday and every second Sunday of May since 1993. The purpose of a holiday is the address of attention of society to global ecological changes which destroy ecosystems of winter and summer areas of the migratory birds, and also return of an environment habitual to species of migratory birds for reproduction, flight, incubations of eggs. Almost every tenth species of migratory birds is under the threat of extinction.
