WWF NEC’s Environmental Education in Taipingchi

20 december 2019 On December 13th, an environmental education course on wetland protection was given by WWF staff with the support of YILI SATINE for 40 teachers and students of the primary school in Taipingchi village. The story of wetland, water and the wildlife of wetland was told with the background of the Taipingchi reservoir as a artificial wetland. This course could help the students to build up a sense of hometown pride by the understanding of wetland, offer the knowledge of the wetlands, and encourage wetland conservation actions. At the end, the students shared their ideas and pledged to protect the wetland.
